How much CBD should I take? CBD dosage is probably the most commonly asked question from people just starting out on hemp CBD oil. Unfortunately, the answer isn’t as simple as “take two aspirin twice a day”. Just like everything else, each person’s body will react differently to CBD, and your sex, age and weight are also contributing factors. Some people may start to notice significant changes from taking CBD in a matter of days, whereas for others it may take weeks or even months. While we firmly believe taking CBD twice a day is directly correlated to its effectiveness, we are here to help you decipher the confusion surrounding CBD dosage.
Determining the proper dosage of CBD comes primarily from experience and anecdotal results. This is due to the fact that the FDA has yet to establish dosage guidelines for CBD. While you will find a wide range of recommended CBD daily dosages, we are strong proponents in administering 50mg of CBD a day (25mg twice a day). We offer a suggested serving size on every product label and include a graduated dropper for easy dosage control, but keep in mind, this is a guideline, not a prescription, and should not be considered medical advice.
So where do you start? Begin by following the directions on the product label and know that taking it twice a day is as important as the dosage itself. After two weeks, feel free to make adjustments based on your weight, age and severity of your ailments, if any.
Can I Take Too Much CBD?
Is it possible to take too much CBD? To date, CBD oil has not been linked to any major side effects or negative health conditions, even in studies that involve taking high doses. In addition, CBD does not possess any addictive qualities, and all of our products are THC-Free, making them a safe and healthy supplement.
Drugs such as aspirin and antacids are made to provide instant relief… CBD works differently. Your body produces cannabinoids, the primary one being cannabidiol, better known as CBD. By feeding your body CBD it is able to run at peak performance, thus allowing your body to essentially heal from within.
Unfortunately, until the FDA and other governmental agencies finish playing catchup on the use and benefits of CBD, what we have to offer are guidelines only. If necessary, start with a smaller dosage and work your way up until you reach your desired results. If you can talk to a medical professional do not hesitate to have a conversation with them. Be aware that they too cannot prescribe CBD doses, as the FDA has yet to establish a recommended daily allowance or universal dose amount.
