Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of over 100 compounds the hemp plant produces. CBD is non-toxic, non-intoxicating and works in unison with the what is called the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a self-regulatory system found in all mammals. It aids with such vital bodily functions as pain, inflammation, anxiety, sleep and the immune system, to name a few.
Though hemp and marijuana come from the same plant family, cannabis, the difference between them lies in their composition. The hemp plant is rich in CBD but practically void of any THC content. The marijuana plant is just the opposite, as it contains high levels of THC that cause an intoxicating effect and only traces of CBD.
To eliminate all risk of any psychoactive effects from our product line, we further refine the process to produce only pure hemp CBD oil that is entirely THC-free.
Though there are many methods available to administer your CBD, but placing CBD oil directly under the tongue until absorbed (30-45 seconds) before swallowing is the most reliable way to receive it, as this approach absorbs directly into your system quickly, effectively, and increases its longevity. CBD capsules are also a popular method due to their regulated dose per capsule and they are convenient while travelling.
With the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, the hemp plant is now regulated by the Department of Agriculture, and hemp-based CBD that is THC-free can now be legally purchased in all 50 states and in many countries worldwide. It can be purchased online and shipped directly to your home, as well as the following countries:
Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Belize, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Guam, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Northern Ireland, Norway, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, U.S. Virgin Islands, Uruguay.
Trust what you take. You’d be surprised how many CBD products contain unhealthy ingredients and residual solvents resulting from the manufacturing process, and many don’t even have the amount of CBD advertised. Know what you’re buying and who you’re buying from. Only purchase products from companies that provide recent, independent lab testing results for both potency and purity. You can rest assured that all our products have been fully tested by an independent 3rd party laboratory, and all lab results are clearly posted on each product page.
The amount of CBD concentrate in each of our products is clearly printed on each label. Our products offer higher CBD concentrations than most, allowing you to reap the benefits CBD has to offer in smaller dosages due to the higher potency level.
While the suggested serving size is on every product label, it’s important to become familiar with how your body responds to CBD. Everyone is different and so are the ailments they’re treating, so it’s recommended to start small and gradually work your way up to the dose that works for you. The FDA has not yet established dosage guidelines for CBD products, which is why we can only suggest dosage based on experience and anecdotal results.
Botanic Balance is one of the few companies that includes a graduated dropper with every hemp CBD oil product to help you accurately regulate every dose.
Everyone is different. Just like all medicine, everybody’s system reacts differently. Aspirin doesn’t make everyone’s headache go away, and antacids don’t cure everyone’s heartburn. For best results, hemp CBD should be a part of your daily routine rather than taken only when you feel pain or discomfort.
By taking CBD daily, you are supporting your endocannabinoid system to create balance within your internal self-regulatory system….consider it more of a marathon than a sprint.
The changes are often subtle at first, and though positive results from taking hemp CBD often occur in the first month, it may take more time depending on the ailments you are treating.
No, neither you nor your animals will feel any intoxicating effects from consuming any of our CBD products. All our products are THC-free and made exclusively from organic Colorado hemp.
No, CBD is not physically addicting, nor does it possess any physical withdrawal symptoms when you stop using it. In fact, it’s currently being tested to do just the opposite, which is to minimize withdrawals from harsh addictive drugs such as opioids.
According to the official TSA website (tsa.gov) “Marijuana and certain cannabis infused products, including some Cannabidiol (CBD) oil, remain illegal under federal law except for products that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC…” The Huffington Post further reported the TSA “formally permits products containing hemp-derived CBD, and FDA-approved medications containing CBD, in both carry-on and checked luggage.”
Since everything we offer is THC-Free, our products fall under the TSA guideline as being acceptable to travel with, but keep in mind The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.
Even with the May 2019 official TSA announcement, we’re still talking about the federal government. We strongly recommend you speak with TSA directly before traveling with CBD, as we are unable to give legal advice on CBD or its legality.
